I think this was the first time I've seen Elmore in person. Was he just off tonight? He doesn't seem like your best player or an NBA talent, but what do I know. I don't mean that as an insult - I just don't see it. CJ Burks was for real though. Couldn't stop that guy and he was draining all his shots.

MU couldn't contain Porter, similar to WKU, and they figured out that they need to just stop the entry passes to him even if that means giving up the outside shots. The scouting report against ODU should always be force us to shoot outside. MU did a good job in the 2nd half and their team showed a lot of composure by not letting that deficit beat them mentally. Tough team.

We are coming along. I think we will be our strongest around tournament time with everyone back healthy. Elmore has been off some this year, and I agree that he is not on NBA level. Burks has been an amazing offensive surprise this year. He plays a lot like Stevey Browning last year, but he so much quicker on defense. I think that is the major difference between last year and this year. We put more emphasis on on defense than last year.

Also, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but if you hated Taylor, you won't like who you will meet next year. Meet Iran Bennett, a 6'10" 300+ pound Shaq-est post man who can also handle the ball. He is gonna be fun to watch!

That's a big fella. He's gonna need to shed some pounds to keep up the game pace Marshall plays.

Just bad. Not anti-WKU or anti-Charlotte. Just bad. It seemed like they didn’t want to call any foul in the paint.

How many out bounds calls were out on them but credited to us? Two for sure were obvious but they missed both.

He has reportedly dropped at least 20 pounds since last year. When he sees the court next year, I would say he will be another few pounds lighter and in shape to run in our system. Dantoni has said that he will adapt the offense to bring more big men into the post, but he won't completely change how we play. I am excited to say the least.

I was at the game and thought the refs were letting them play more than usual. 17 fouls called on WKU, and 24 on Charlotte, but it felt like they were calling it pretty even-handed to me. In a game where the refs were giving the players free reign, the kids never got chippy. I had no complaints, except that Charlotte's bench scored 0 points, now that was a crime.

He was a guy i wanted Charlotte to get. His recruiting dropped off the face of the planet though. I think he was a NQ? Anyway, i didnt know he ended up with the Herd. He should be a good addition.

Those poor knees though.

Who knows, he made the grades and his testing wasn't the problem. Apperently the school he was at before Hargrave Academy was either a joke or did not handle his records well. Either way, it is an abnormality and many of us at MU and even Dantoni believed he had a chance to play this year. If he was at Duke or UK, he would be cleared no problem. It was one of those cases.

When Surbadger said 6’10 and 300+ I feel like that + amount is way more than 1-10 pounds. Dude has to be pushing 340-350 in that photo. May be an old one. I’ve seen some really good players that started out really heavy coming out of high school. Got into college on a program and never lost their strength but lost a lot of baby fat. Hopefully he has good hands. That’s what separates bigs. Plenty of tall men in the world. Not many of them have good hands doe. Good players are worth the wait at our level. It sucks, especially these eligibility issues as we know for sure. But it’s what we do.

Reminds me of Big Jelly played for Western 2003-04 6'11, 320 averaged around 16 and 10 shot close to 68% but less than 50% on ft. I believe he went to the line around 10 times a game
