Not really.

Hokie: I agree, but the better destinations don't want them.

Yes, I'm sure Iowa State and Kansas State would be thrilled in your scenarios. I'm sure the SEC would be thrilled to have Baylor too.

Kansas is the only one that might be happy at all. ISU, KSU, and WVU are relegated. OU, OSU, TT, UT don't want to be in a conference where the bulk of their games are 2 time zones away. The SEC isn't taking Baylor and TCU.

Sometimes I wonder if people grasp just how far from the California schools like UT and OU are.

I also think in that situation both TCU and Baylor get left out instead of go to the SEC.

Dixie: true, but everyone here talks about the PAC XII network being desperate for content, and wanting into the Texas market.

KSU, ISU and WVU get shafted because the conferences they truly should go to don't want them.

Baylor is more plausible to the AAC, but most of the conference is 2 time zones away.

Most of the conference is two time zones away? 5 of the 6 schools in the West are IN THE SAME TIME ZONE AS BAYLOR. 2 are in the same state within 200 miles and used to be in a conference with them.

Why is the Big 12 always the target here?

Big 12 is making money hand over fist, and on the football field they had an excellent year. All systems go ... 07-coffee3

I think there is a portion of the college football fans that would like to see an implosion.
