@GW

Yeah, we need to unload some deadweight now that Jim Calhoun's recruits aren't there anymore.

Yeah, there was a stretch there where if you thought Fordham is/was lousy in A10 hoops, Bonnie was worse. Didn't know it got to expulsion-level badness, though.

Although, Fordham has added exactly zero since they got there. They never should have been added to begin with. "But, but, but, but they're in New York City." Yeah, well so is Long Island and Manhattan and no one is clamoring to add them.

Yeah, that market theory really works.

I think that's old fashioned Catholic school hate at play. You can tolerate Fordham athletics because academically, they make the rest look better, and you get to be in NYC. All of those around them, like Siena, Iona, Manhattan...they are just like the other small A10 schools (SJU, La Salle, Bonnie)...good luck trying to get on the same line as them. Fordham adds to that, and there's no way they see themselves as equals to those three (G-Dubs and Richmond otoh...).

Loyola Marymount is in LA, is anyone looking to add them?

The A-10 is visible in New York but it's not because of Fordham. Yeah, it must be an academic thing.

Dayton is awfull close to cincinnati
could St Bonnies & St Lious be the next 2 for BE

Have you looked where St Bonaventure is? If the BE wanted to expand back into Upstate it could take Sienna - which is at least in Albany and has access to the 15,000 seat Times Union Center. By all metrics St B's would be a better fit for the the MAAC or NEC than it is for the current A-10.

I'm pretty sure the A-10 is the Big East's primary farm league. No team in the MAAC is even close.
