Lipscomb was in the 30's in RPI before losing to UNF sunk them to 55. As bad as ASun is, had they never lost another game, I doubt they would have gone much higher. But, yikes, what a loss in that conference will do.

Ever since Beaver College changed its name, Lipscomb might be the dirtiest college name of all time.

There are no really good teams left in college basketball. The Tournament is gonna be a roll of the dice after the first round and a roll of the same for 3 seeds and below in the first round.

It would be a prime year for mid-major chaos a la 2006 & 2011, but the mid-majors suck this year too lol.

Arizona St....hahahaha. Most people don’t even know they have a team. How many NCAA tournaments have they gone to? In the WAC days they weren’t even a power, UTEP, New Mexico and Wyoming owned them.

Anyday Bobby Hurley loses is a good day for officials nationwide.

New Mexico State and, if they can get in, St. Mary's is all I got. Gonzaga doesn't look "on" yet, but, always one to watch, even if they aren't really a mid-major. I have my doubts Western Kentucky wins CUSA when MTSU and ODU are still decent. No faith in A10 or MWC. It's going to take ETSU winning SoCon and Penn the Ivy to make me even consider looking at anything below the 12-line.

There isn't really much impressive within the other major conferences, imo. Villanova and Duke are legit, but get the right motions and keep flinging three's...you can see them collapse. Butler and Wichita State are not great teams; good enough on the right night to take out anyone because they can kill you from the outside...and maybe that's going to be the theme of this year's tournament.

No doubt the Big XII and SEC will be well represented this year. Could be a good year for them to have a bunch make it out of the first weekend. And I don't mean Kentucky and Kansas.

19 consecutive, tied with Gonzaga for 4th longest active streak. It will end this year barring a Big 10 conference tournament title.

Crazy thing is Wisconsin only had 4 NCAA tournament appearances before this current streak began in 1999. Badgers didn't make the tournament at all between 1947 and 1994.

That whole athletic department turned around in the last generation. It's easy to forget how before Barry Alvarez their football was drawing less than 40K for many games.

Agree about Western Kentucky, but what do you think of their at-Large chances (if any)? One site’s bracketology has them in as an 11 at large with MT taking the auto as a 12.
I think they certainly have the horses to make a run with two new players just ruled eligible.

Yeah, the worst beating they took was by eight to the current #1 team. Ohio really hurts...Wisconsin will probably come off the books as a bad loss as the Big Ten teams beat up on each other. Belmont isn't really a bad loss, either.

I think between MTSU and WKU, I like WKU's chances of the at-large better, even though MTSU has the better RPI presently. If they don't win the CUSA AQ, but teams like Belmont, Wright State, and Missouri State win their respective conference titles, and SMU sneaks its way up the AAC rankings and into a spot, it's going to be very hard to overlook them, and maybe even harder to justify a snub (assuming no more bad losses in the conference). That schedule is sprinkled with potential tournament teams. On paper, it will look like they belong.

Wisconsin may or may not. Looking at what they have left- they're projected to finish 7-11 in Big Ten and 14-17 overall. That's RPI 135.4. If it's 135 or better, it'd be a tier 2 loss for WKU. If it's 136 or worse, it'd be tier 3. It'll be really close either way for them.
