It was in the midst of the poor play a couple of weeks ago, and he had a lengthy meeting with Tubby - in which he probably mentioned transferring. At the time Martin was also in a bit of a slump - going 9 for 34 over the 3-game skid. He mentioned that Tubby might try a different approach to motivate the guys.

But both Mark and Geoff agreed that it was probably no more than a young man frustrated with his play and the team play. It happens. The good news is that Martin didn't hide his feelings, and Tubby spent the time with him and heard him out. In fact, they said Tubby was late for a press conference because of it. And that they appeared reconciled and the team seems much stronger for it. And since then Martin has had the best 3-game run of his career.

Sounds a lot like Joe Jackson after the Bahamas.

It's happened some. We even a couple move to other campuses over the years, then come back before classes started.

I just hope that Tubby keeps on Martin once the season is over bc he may need to recruit him just as hard as he needs to recruit Harris.

Why do you care? Don’t you want them to lose?
