Huge game for both teams, bigger the crowd the better , WKU seems to drive off large crowds, I think having those 5th year leaders makes a big difference

Darius Thompson is a 5th year sr. Transfer from Virginia. Dwight Coby is also a 5th year sr. From Kansas. Demote Beardon in just a jr. but he played point at Buffalo on both of their NCAA tournament teams. We have a lot of tournament experienced players

I saw firsthand a ODU crowd that was so loud it affected the Western team....you could see them get flustered and shaken. I don't think that will happen with this team. I'm not saying it wont have a affect on the game but this Western team is about as cool as I've seen since Felton's last 3 seasons. They adjust to the play and surroundings.

The one stat that might play a factor, if it holds. ODU's opponents average 20 fouls a game playing at ODU. This Western team main weakness is defense when they get a few fouls. With the short bench I think it's in their mind to play a little softer when they get a few fouls. That has killed this team in a few losses. But it usually plays out in 3 point shooting....which isn't a strong point for ODU.

Key game for both teams and I think Western gets a close win....if it's a good night at the line.

Gotcha, I knew you had Grad Transfers. When I hear 5th year players I think that they've been with the program for 5 years.

I wish C-USA could find a way to get its best matchups a better TV platform.

I haven't seen anything from ODU in recent weeks that makes me think this game will be close.

Last 3 home games at the Ted have been blowouts! That is something. Team plays really good at home.

WK plays well on the road too. I don't think home court will be that big of an advantage, but I would love to be wrong.

One thing I will also mention, I know ODU loves to pace the game and slow things down, WKU now has Darius Thompson running point which came from the master of doing the slow down thing! Virginia. WKU is coming from a high pace Marshall game right into a slow it down grid type of game.... I dont think it effects us since we have played slow all year to reserve body's. W might lose by 20, but I have more faith in this WKU team than any in the last 10 years.

Big matchup and by far the biggest game we've played at the Ted so far this season.

Unless we just get totally honked by the refs I think we have a good shot at giving ODU a game.

I watched ODU vs Temple and the Monarchs came from way back to make that a game. ODU looks like a ball team when they walk out on the floor. I also saw them destroy Charlotte.

Past games ODU played dee and we didn’t. Those games ended up just like you’d imagine. This year we will make it tougher to score than they’re used to against us.

Just can’t see us winning this one. Hope I’m wrong! Will certainly be watching.

This should be a really good game. I think Western KY gets the W by a slim margin.

This is a great early season showdown but I thought the Middle-UAB was a huge one as well. UAB let that one slip through but they seem to be rolling now. Middle has the bullseye on their chest as shown this weekend in Florida. Every team is going to get up for 2 time tourney winners.
