It would say a lot about the Arizona program if they hire Neuheisel over someone like Brown.

I admit I was kind of surprised that Brown or Shatterfield didn't get poached by some other school this cycle. Going to be a real treat to have such good coaching continue in the Sun Belt.

Troy should thank Texas AM, wow how lucky. A P5 came sniffing though another good year he is gone Satt is probably still on the radar but had some bad losses down the stretch, they beat UMASS and ULM and he might be gone.

Wouldn't have been surprised if he was gone after 2 with how big the turnaround was. Would have been a little upset, and kind of upset if he left this time, but man, 4 years is a damn good deal this day and age in college football. I would understand if he left after another 10+ win season.

I was expecting Tennessee to jump all over him. Not sure about the guy they hired.

Standard for Tenn now. Honestly Brown is probably better than Sumlin but the P5 smell is hard for AD's and fanatics to look past.

We will probably keep him 1 more year and he will be gone.
Keeping Brown 4 years with 2 10+ win seasons and possibly another next year is pretty good.
Buy out will still be around 2million next year as well

I think the buyout was an insulating factor this time.
From reading Arizona fan boards, apparently donors were resisting the call to pony up for Sumlin originally, which meant that Brown was a less attractive option due to his buyout.
It'll also be interesting to see what happens if he has a dropoff.

Hey he’s probably earned it more so than some others that got jobs this past year. But kudos you guys have your guy and he makes the rest of the guys have to step up so I’m glad you kept him.

If either the Texas Tech or Kentucky head coaching jobs open up next season, consider Brown gone.
