WOW! I'm not seeing anything about this game so far that makes me think that UCF wouldn't be winning against either team 04-jawdrop

Ehh....

UCF could beat these teams, but they'd probably lose a close game. The defenses are both playing at a high level which kinda makes this look worse than it is. It's still a very high level of play.

Dawgs up 6-0, defense stifling the Tide.

Defense and the fact that Hurts is not much of a passing threat.

Dawgs getting enough yards to kill the clock and avoid field position problems.

Alabama at their own 20 with 2 mins to go. Hurts might try to force something and Dawgs defense could make a big game defining play.

I'm sitting here thinking UCF'S defense would doing about the same as Alabama's D against UG, but UCF'S offense would've most likely scored at least 10-12 points by now. Bama's offense is terrible. UCF got screwed!!

Georgia 13-0 at half.

Very big lead given how good the UGA defense is playing.

Reminscent of 2012 BCS title game with Bama in the LSU role.

Fromm has been outstanding with big throws and timely scrambles.

13-0 , oh my quo. Are you starting to get the feeling that UCF should've been playing in this game?

We will see what Bama does in the 2nd half...Georgia looked finished at the half of the Rose Bowl. At this pace though looks like the real top two teams may have played in Pasadena.

OUs defense isn't great but makes me respect once again how good OUs offense was this year after watching Georgia's D in the 1st half.

And UCF definitely would have done better on offense then Bama has done.

Georgia has played masterfully so far. Smart seems to be using his knowledge of Saban's schemes and approaches very well.

Yes the best two teams played in Pasadena and no, UCF would not have done better. Auburn's D held them well enough to have won the game. Stidham threw a pick six inside our 30 and fumbled the ball to set up another 7 on our end and ended the game with another pic inside the UCF red zone.

And that was without our starting corner All American. UCF was a good team and deserved the win, but their defense is porous, was all season, and only an inept Auburn offensive effort complete with the turnovers provided the margin of the win.

Our D was good, would have been better with all of our starters. But Georgia offensively and defensively is on a whole other level than UCF.

And this game isn't over yet either. Alabama D is very good. The first half was a testimony to Georgia's offensive capability and the adaptability of Fromm.

I do believe OU had the best offense I've seen in years. If their defense had been just a little bit better they might have won it all. Georgia's offense is pretty special too, but not quite as efficient as Oklahoma's was. The lesson of Pasadena was still that you can't win a title without solid defense.

It is funny to watch quo desperately try and have conversations with any one who will listen about this game.

I'm not watching, not out of some silly and pointless form of protest, but because I've got work to catch up on. Sounds like I'm not missing much though.

Agreed game is far from over...OU was slaughtering Georgia at the half. One of these days OU will figure out that Mike Stoops is a terrible DC....but unfortunately for them they didn't figure that out this year.

I agree it's far from over, because objectively, 13-0 is far from over.

That said, with the way the Dawgs D has been dominating, and with the way UGA has been able to control the ball, it sure feels like a safe lead, whereas OU's lead over UGA didn't seem safe to me.

I guess that's what happens when you want a halftime show but don't have an NFL budget...I doubt they could get away with making him work for free like they do for the Super Bowl performers. Too bad they didn't do Homer and Ned's Bible halftime show from The Simpsons.

Absolutely, OUs defense didn't give a ton of confidence in the lead. Especially after that stupid squib kick resulted in the FG right before the half that started the momentum swing.

Big Ten refs made a couple of bad calls (or no calls) favoring 'Bama.
