Emailed today. Pretty nice hat.

Appropriate shade of Green and Gold with Nats Script W.

Could pass for a WM hat to outsiders given the W in front.

They had two in the store at Nats Park about a couple months ago for sale. I picked up one for myself and a friend. When I asked if they had more, they said they did not. Not sure how they ended up in the store but they were beside the GMU ones. I can attest that they do look sharp.

Sad I'll miss this one as I'm out of the country. That hat does look pretty neat.

RE: August 7th is William & Mary Day at Nats Park
Anyone heard anymore about this game? Such as - is the school or athletic department doing anything before or during the game? Who - if anyone - from the school or athletic department will be at the game?

Appears it is game 2 of a day/night doubleheader with "JMU Day" and "80's night" rolled into game 1 (obviously a rescheduled make-up game) https://www.mlb.com/nationals/tickets/promotions

Even as a Nats season ticket holder who also purchased tickets to this game, I haven't heard anything about it since purchasing the tickets.

Well, work got in the way so we can’t get to DC that night. We have two tickets free to anyone who wants them. The only cost is one of the hats.

I got this email from alumni association on July 18.
https://wm-advancement.secure.force.com/...000000Hqvo

Come out to Nationals Park before the game on
August 7 for a tailgate with the Tribe!

As a part of the inaugural William & Mary Night at Nationals Park, ticket purchasers have the opportunity to attend a special pregame tailgate behind home plate. The tailgate will feature a burger bar, hot dogs, field greens salad, watermelon wedges and potato chips. An open bar of beer, house wines, soda and water will also be included. Tickets are $35 per person.

If anyone is able to snag an extra hat, I'd be willing to compensate for their efforts!

Good Tribe turnout at the game. Lots of hats and other green and gold. It shows how many alumni are in the DC area. In my section there were folks talking about how they loved seeing the Griffin when it/he/she was out there for President's race. Of course Thomas Jefferson with his W&M cap/gown won the race. I don't think it was fixed though. Teddy came in last as always.

Trivia about the Presidents: Why have those four that race every game?

Because they are on Rushmore.

This is exactly why I can’t wait for the CAA MBB Tourney to be in DC in 2020. It is going to be special!

Briefly, they had a Taft and later a Coolidge. I'm not a DC local, so I don't know when/why they dropped them.

The White House Historical Association has an affiliation with the Nats and the 4th inning race. Taft was added temporarily because he (I believe) was the first President to throw a first pitch out at a baseball game. Coolidge was added when the WHHA was honoring him one year and he was on their annual ornament.

Looks like another W&M Day at Nats Park this year. Great time last year.

Update: looks like Friday, July 26 vs. Dodgers.
