Things aren't as bleak as some make it sound. We have a GREAT campus.

Uhhhh. Compared to who? I would say we have a below average campus, as far as the quality of buildings. Half the buildings are way outdated and look like crap. Every dorm besides Western heights is way overdue for replacement. So is bernhard center and dunbar.

You need to get out more.

I guess not. But unless you're taking out the trash, I don't know how you can say that half our buildings look like crap. You picked on Dunbar and Sangren - two of the oldest buildings - as your standard for how the rest of campus looks. I think you're wrong. The new student union is coming, new res halls and married housing are coming, upgrades in several buildings have taken place, we have a new dining center which is amazing, new Sangren, excellent engineering facilities, planned upgrades in Korhman, new alumni center...

What the hell do you want?

Once the new elm wood apartments and res halls go in, then I will say we have a nice campus. As for right now, it is decent, all the old residence halls really drag down the overall look, plus the elm wood apartments look like absolute trash from stadium. It's good they're finally addressing it.

Is the new student union replacing Bernhard? I'd be interested in seeing any architectural renderings that are floating around out there of these projects. Seems odd that WMU isn't showing this off at least a little bit.

I sure hope so, a new student union right next to western heights and sangren. That would be a fantastic addition to our campus.
