RE: JMU @ Hofstra hoops
This loss is on the coaching staff. The teams finds way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

https://twitter.com/HofstraPride/status/...0322324480 shows that SportsCenter @Night started with JWF's tying shot.

RE: JMU @ Hofstra hoops
Rather than saying he should have fouled Hofstra, Lou commended the great shot made at the end of regulation to tie out from what I saw over the weekend. That decision cost them the game and probably deflated the team going into NE without any reward for their efforts over an extended period now. For curiosity sake, I did a little research and in the first couple of websites I pulled, the authors recommend fouling rather than playing defense in those situations with empirical evidence for the one site saying a team is four times as likely to lose the lead if they choose to defend rather than foul (based on the NBA, which has better players, of course). A good coaching staff should go through scenarios in practice and know exactly how to deal with these types of situations. Evidently, Rowe still didn't learn from that mistake if his post game comments were any indication.

You're right. I don't think I saw the second half of that game, but I looked up the recap this morning and an App State player hit a game-tying three with about a second left in regulation and JMU went on to lose in OT.
