Thanks. Beating a team with Elmore on it is an accomplishment IMHO

RE: Tv Marshall wku
This was a long time coming, Marshall has dominated us for the past two seasons, our guys knew it and wanted to make a statement tonight and they did! Great win!

Stadium was horrible tonight, I have never had an issue except tonight....But when they had games streamed on Facebook or Twitter they worked flawlessly for me, weird on their site it was horrible.....When I finally got it working it was in and out all night...

Game was an anomaly.

Let me be clear, I think WKU is a better team than us. They're longer, stronger and more athletic.

But, Murphy's Law was also in full effect for the Herd tonight that made us look worse than we are. 1st Burks started the night off by missing a bunny, then Penava our only legitimate interior defender and rebounder goes down and doesn't return. We get two T's in a span of 3 or 4 possessions, meanwhile for the first 10 minutes we couldn't throw it in the ocean and WKU couldn't miss. Thompson was unconscious early on even banked in a deep 3 that probably was ill-advised but it went in any way.

We did eventually settle down and start to have some offensive success, we sank 18 threes. But, by that point, we were down by 25 and without Penava all we could manage to do was trade baskets with WKU.

If I'm DD I wouldn't even watch the film of this one. I'd throw it in the trash and move on. Again WKU is for real and from what I've seen of ODU, La Tech and MTSU so far (the other teams I considered to be part of the top 4 coming into the season) I think the Hilltoppers have a real chance to win a CUSA title this year. Could only imagine how dominant this team could be with Robinson. Probably ranked if they could have got that head case on board.

One thing ive not seen mentioned, WKU freshman Hollingsworth always gets put on the other teams best scorer , tonight was Elmore with Marshall.... Hollingsworth is a great player and always shuts down who he defends! I expect him to be freshmen of the year in CUSA. I also will stick Darris Thompson in the mix for player of the year or new comer of the year n

Coming from a Topper fan I agree with you. DD shouldn’t even mention last nights game again.
