I'm happy for whatever we get. Nathan has seen both Marcus and Daniel get NBA looks from here. For once, I'm not concerned that players feel like they need to move on to get noticed.

Exactly why he won't transfer. He's going to only get better here and if he can put on about 10 pounds of muscle, he's going to be hard to stop. He still plays soft underneath, but his finesse is something you can't teach.

At this point Knight's name doesn't show up in anyone major's top 100 draft prospects, at least in a cursory search done this afternoon. There's still time for that to change but he appears off their radar at the moment.

I mentioned it before. Only way Nate transfers is A) Shaver leaves. B) He redshirts and graduates after his redshirt junior year - becoming a grad transfer a la Whitman.

No doubt there will be a lot of voices trying to influence him, but he has an awful good thing going in the 'Burg, on many levels.

Hope that this summer he gets an opportunity to attend a top big man camp to escalate his development.

If I was a 2018/2019 big man recruit, I would be taking notice of the opportunity to go head to head with Nathan in practice, and the chance to ride his coattail. A big man is only as good as his backcourt teammates feeding him the ball, and we certainly have a strong backcourt stable to continue that legacy going forward for, both, Nathan, and his successor.

When the Tribe finally make The Tournament, it will be interesting to see the coaching interest in Tony, and what his family decisions will be, after that achievement is finally accomplished.

Just one more note on Nate. He's a power forward and stretch four at the next level. We're seeing some of that now, but he will become deadly when he shoots from three consistently.

He is right now the most complete big man I've ever seen at W&M. Great hands and dancer's quick feet to go with everything else. And a great teammate to boot.

TribeHeart, we shall not speak of such things. It is right there with mentioning our lack of tournament success. You can talk about our RPI, or at large chances, but JMU is a dangerous opponent due for a win. That should be the approach all season. Still 14 regular season conference games to go. No reason to even look beyond Thursday, much less March. Let's enjoy what is happening now and keep expectations low and reasonable. We should finish top 6 in the league now.

Hmmmm...Guess I failed to explicitly state: "My comments do not refer to this year, nor imply this year."

Saw this on Twitter, posted by @p_crawf who is obviously a Missouri fan:

"Only four players nationally have at least 30 assists and 30 blocks so far this season. @MizzouHoops' Jontay Porter is one of them (@collegebb_ref)

J. Porter, Missouri (33, 34)
N. Knight, William & Mary (30, 39)
C. Martin, Nevada (73, 30)
A. Herndon, Wyoming (30, 38)"

Wonder which of the Martin twins that is, Cody or Caleb (formerly NC State). Whichever one, that is strong, with 73 assists AND 30 blocks!

Maybe the statisticians get confused and just combine their numbers

I had that thought, as well.

"Well, it looked like the same guy..."

It's Cody. Caleb leads them in scoring with 19.2 but has 8 blocked shots (0.44 per game). Cody averages 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.7 blocked shots. Since 1992-1993, only one player has finished a season with at least that many of all five statistics, and that was Campbell's Joe Spinks in 1992-1993.
