WSU is good, but not "starting 9/11 from deep 3" good. They just could not miss. The ones we did not contest showed the threes made from 4 to 5 ft behind the 3-line. Most teams, including WSU, will not come out on fire like this.

Hard to rebound when you need to cover 25 ft away from the basket. Anyway, Wichita was great....tonight.

Let's see if they can do the same with consistency. It would be hard to replicate that performance.

That 91-65 win over Arkansas is what may keep you IN the tournament. But I agree that losing to WSU at Wichita shouldn't keep anyone out of the tournament.

The most interesting dynamic imo is that Houston has to host Wichita State 16 days from now. The beat down is going to be fresh in everyone’s minds. I don’t know which team that helps or hurts more. If Wichita State drains a couple early 3s in that one it might be tough for Houston to fight back.

No we aren’t 80% good. But I predict we will be better than our current (prior to Houston) 37%. I do recall that during the summer (when we mentioned that our yearly 3pt. % was mid 40s. We were told that we weren’t in the Valley any longer so no way we would do that. I would venture that we will be in the 40-45% from long range this year.

I agree. To me that game at Houston could be very scary. I hope our team doesn't have a letdown after the big win tonight. If we do get off to a fast start in that game, then I agree it might be tough for Houston to respond.
