Marshall hit 18 threes and loses by 20+. I didnt expect this

Dawgs beat UTEP 97-88 without Bracy playing at all and finally get a conference W - UTEP can really shoot the 3 well. Funny but our young team seemed to play better not just waiting for Bracy to do something and we have a pretty good true FR PG that took his place.

Really? We are pretty damn good I would say so far in this season, behind MTSU yes, but solid wins vs Purdue, SMU, those are the 2 best wins by any CUSA team this season....This is not the last 3 seasons WKU team.....We have some talent now...

Nah those are excuses, we have gotten blown out by Marshall for 2 seasons, our guys were tired of it and pretty much said so post game...I dont care what Marshall had and or if they had their big guy, we were still winning tonight....Its ok to be the better team, I know WKU fans are not used to this last 6 years, but its time to start....

Western did look impressive tonight. It will be interesting to see how they do next week against a much better defensive team in ODU.

Finally learned to play without Bracey. I think it pays off going forward.

Biggest difference I see between WKU and ODU is the fact ODU had played 8 games against teams with a RPI at 199 or higher while WKU has only played 3 teams above 199 RPI. WKU has played against 5 top 100 RPI teams ( 2 agasint top 15 ) and ODU has played 4 against the top 100 (1 under 50 RPI). Point is, its hard to use stats since both teams did not play a identical schedule (WKU SOS at 31 and ODU SOS at 283) ODU should have the better stats. Marshall was a 1 point fav and we see how that worked out. WKU has beat the spread in all but one game this year i think. I dont think WKU beats ODU on the road..... but thats why we play the game
