You can take that ish on down the road. "Our conferences" total 6. Not 5. Your idea of fun will run millions of fans off of their respective teams. I'm not interested in paying over (roughly) $2000 per year to support and watch FCS football.

RE: Why are the G4 trying to ride the AAC's coattails to success
"I just don’t see any way the P5 commissioners allow another conference into the CFB mix". They won't.

The quoted statement reflects a misunderstanding of the P6 agenda.
P6 is about branding, i.e. AAC is better than the G4 conferences and close
to the P5. It is a tweener. The campaign is working. Visits to P5 forums
prove this.

It is about separation. Schools in the AAC have committed to their programs.
Schools in the G4 have not. Paid $millions to your coaches? Built new stadiums?

The real issue is not whether the AAC is better than the G4. It is what will be the separation if the schools in the AAC remain committed over the next few years.

"The top AAC teams don’t actually give a **** about the AAC and will dump it in
a heartbeat to join a real power conference". Of course, they would. Not many
schools would refuse $25 million per year. That does not mean the AAC schools
don't respect the other members. The AAC has schools with great strength and
tremendous potential. It has multiple schools that have won national championships in football and basketball.

UCF has the athletes to repeat. Of course, I would like UH to win it all.
If UH does not win, it would be great for the AAC if an AAC school other than UCF won the NY6. It would demonstrate the depth and Power6.

Yes. Stated many times in the forum. Maybe in the very thread, I'm not sure.

Continue the P6 narrative, aim for a NY6 bowl tie-in (maybe the Peach), and negotiate HARD to NBC for a $12 - $15MM per team per year TV deal. Separate ourselves from the G4 financially, exposure-wise (already done), and then negotiate an autonomous vote with the P5 -making us P6 for real. Detach from the G4, and roll with the big boys.

That's the goal. It may take 10 years to get there, but accepting mediocrity in the form of a JV championship is a death-knell to our conference. Game over.
