It's been 18 years in the making, but congrats on your national championship!

It doesn’t mean a thing if you don’t have the ring...

We have two national championship rings in football and one in basketball... and that’s without making up a title.

You guys are absolutely obsessed with the AAC. Cusa should work on being the best conference it can be. It’s. It good to keep wishing your conference was the AAC. Everybody has to start some place gentlemen. Give it a decade or so but it will happen some day.

This is a thread about Marshall... but who’s obsessed?

But if you want to bring up the AAC, here’s an on-topic discussion...

Did you know Marshall has never lost to the AAC?

And Tulane done it a year before us in 1998 with Tommy Bowden (HC) and Rich Rod (OC). Also Id put our 99 team up against any of those teams. In that group in 99 there were 11 draft picks and 24 actually got a shot at the NFL.

Fun Fact: Tommy Bowden left for Clemson after that game. His next loss, his first game at Clemson was by Marshall 13-10. Marshall had to overcome 71 yards of bogus penalties in the last drive alone, talk about trying to screw you over. But that's the ACC for ya.

Well at least no CUSA team declared themselves champions of life! Poor Butch Jones... but I still chuckle a little every time I remember how UT lost every single conference game this season.

Maybe you should be wishing the ECU football program was still in the SoCon so you could win some games. Never should have fired Ruffin.

Enjoy another 3-9 or 2-10 season under Scottie. Also enjoy another 10-11 win basketball season because I don't see you winning anymore than 3-4 conference games. Right now ECU was the worst addition to that ship of misfits and well Tulane was on that ship too.

Since ECU thinks they moved up they are:

19-30 in Football (3-9 the last 2 seasons) (4.75 wins per year)
48-64 (13.6 wins a year)

I don't guess for ECU they are like the Jeffersons. The East side isn't there and neither is the deluxe apartment in the sky.

So, I have never understood why ECU decided to drop intercollegiate athletics back around 2014. They used to get a lot of attention, but since they are no longer playing competitive college athletics I never hear anything about that school anymore.
