Best thing that can happen (for smart or smokers) is that pot stays illegal and avoids taxation.
Y'all got to start thinking.
not if you can legally grow your own.....
ranks right there with home brewing with one exception.....the start-up cost is negligible.....
I have a buddy that's been growing his own for 30 years right next to his tomatoes. He just trims it short. Grows poppies too.
yup.....topping is the only way to go.....I'm simply unwilling to take the chance where I currently live....I've grown a few over the years.....however, the closer it gets to harvest, the more it reeks.....containing the odor is something I'm not willing to risk jail time for with 'nosy' neighbors....
always remember, I only smoke in the evening to relax or when I need to get some sleep....it's the edibles where the pain killing effect comes into play....this is where I'm looking for personal relief and investment....
the agricultural aspect of hemp is where I would be licking my chops.....all kinds of cheap land in my area....

Most ain't gonna touch it because most want to run for something or be appointed to something else down the road and pissing off the public that voted for ain't going to be a good look and given the general contrary nature of Americans trying to shut down the will of the voters likely just galvanizes the issue.
I've got a few problems with the whole thing.
#1. The race for super pot and the reliability of the makers of consumables means dosing in "medical" states is unreliable if it is truly medical you should know how many milligrams of each ingredient is present and it shouldn't vary from production run to production run.
#2. With the financial advantage that has been gained by Colorado, Oregon and now Nevada and California (my understanding is the Washington, DC, Alaska and Mass. schemes aren't as fleshed out) there will be HUGE opposition to open things up nationally coming from the established retailers even if it were a change that required a vote in each state to allow sales.
So we are now at a point where the supporters of the current law are a dwindling group and don't want this coming to a vote but the people in states that have approved some form have no real reason to support reforming the law as long as the status quo is maintained and the people selling to them in "recreational states" have very strong incentives to maintain the status quo.
Polls show 90% of Republicans support medical and higher for self-described independents and democrats, while 51% support broad legalization.
Crazy that in our federal system 8 states have said recreational is OK, 22 have approved medical, 15 permit use of the extract CBD which doesn't provide a high and 5 permit no sales, yet the national government cannot adjust to reflect that 30 of 50 states support at least medical and 45 support the use of CBD.
The states have spoken.
The states spoke loud and clear on marriage, but activist judges didn't care.

This is how Republicans get themselves unelected.

Yeah, sitting around smoking pot while illegally downloading Music, Movies and porn has it's benefits to the left. Funny, it hurts those left leaning artists the most.

Some states have spoken. State
The states have spoken. Federal
If states get to ignore federal law then ok, cool.
The United States in (not of) America. Kinda like a confederation of states.
Some states should legalize all drugs. Let's get this thing going.

Well that's just stupid.
There is absolutely no way that Jeff Sessions can become rapid oxidation as the result of an exothermic chemical reaction. He can catch fire, he can start fire, and he can extinguish fire but there is literally no way that he can be fire as you say Rand Paul desires.
