Congrats 49ers. We are tying to get rid of our AD as well, the one that fired Ruff and gave Lebo a 10 year extension. Can you tell me why your Ad did to make people so unhappy with her.

We suck at almost everything. Men's soccer and men's golf might be the only two teams to have made an NCAA tournament in the last 5 years.

Multiple bad hiring and firing decisions in the two main sports. A misplaced emphasis on Title IX gender equality as far as promotion and emphasis of female sports over men's sports (don't even ask about how badly baseball has been treated during her tenure). Missing the realignment bus on football (lack of football) during the last decade. Running a $30m D1 athletics department like a mom and pop family business complete with nepotism. A complete lack of understanding of promotion, especially social media. Riding student fees as 49er Club membership regressed.
I could go on.....
She's done well on facilities in general, but she's been here too long and the collegiate sporting world dynamics have passed her by. 27 years of the same ideas have turned a proud program into a dumpster fire. She should have used football's inaugural season as a victory lap and retired that summer. She would have gone out on top but now they'll always be the taint of being forced out by "small donors" like most of the 49er fans on these message boards, and that's sad to me, because it wasn't all bad.

I am so happy right now that she is gone....I find this funny.. But that Grady Davis crap worked for a little while. If that ever makes it to the national media...it will go down as one of the best moves by a fan base ever. But yeah, we still hate you and look down on you.

clt says appy fans messed this one up. Now we have a new AD, and the 49er club was taking in so many donations yesterday that the system crashed.

A little bit of this. We are a small and rabid fanbase. Judy being gone and the fan base galvanized could make us a decent sized rabid fanbase. A lot of folks who have walked away from the program either joined or rejoined the 49er club yesterday.
The last five years have likely been the worst in Charlotte sports history (this is with a new football program). I think you are looking at our floor at rock bottom. And while our football attendance will be crap next year, I think you’ll see another wave of excitement when Lambert is fired.

It's going to be a bit better with Judy gone. I for one hope Lambert proves us wrong but I don't see that happening.
Looking foward to the 40 minute ride to hopefully watch an App win. We need to replace quite s bit of talent, should be closer than either fanbase thinks.
