Then she skipped out and jumped to Andretti Green Motorsports because she was not competitive as she liked. Then left Andretti quickly after she became a mid pack runner before it closed doors for her. All this after Letterman pick her up as an unknown unemployed former kart driver and gave her a chance to develop though the many ladder series he competed. Eventually moving up to Indy Car in 2005.After her weight and accident produced advantages gave her a short lived lead at Indy when the other had to pit for fuel. She made several appearances on Letterman's show and created a following. A following she used to leave Letterman and move to Andretti Green(at the time now Andretti Motorsports)

GoDaddy was going away either way. Their marketing has just about disappeared since they left racing.

So she went on Letterman’s Show when she was a driver for his team and then she left his team for one that was more lucrative? She was on the Letterman Show 5 times in four years. She didn’t go on the show until after she was on his team. She went on the show twice after she left for Andretti/Green.

There are some very talented drivers running at many local tracks. There is even a young lady from the area that is very successful. She isn't allowed to run Riverside except when it is rented by other promoters due to liability issues from a previous injury but she does very well. Many times the driver has to bring personal money or sponsor money to move up thru the ranks. Just like anything else, it takes money to go big time. Some have done it with skill alone but even then, they need a break of some kind to get noticed and to go to the next level. For every Jimmie Johnson, there are dozens of talented drivers that just can't get the breaks to make it as a professional.

Danica is very marketable. No one thought she would quit racing entirely, very few drivers step down from full-time status and never race again.

She just isn't any good no matter how good her equipment is. This has been proven time and time and time again for over a decade now.

While Go Daddy is going to pony up for 2 races ONLY. She is no longer as marketable as she once was. She has lost three different sponsors in the past three years. Mainly because of her attitude and the fact that she openly promoted one of sponsors rivals while under contract.

Stewart Haas ended up in a court battle over their sponsorship deal with her primary sponsor because she openly used and promoted the sponsors competitors product. The 10 car is fully sponsored by Smithfield Foods for 2018 but the deal required Aric Almirola as driver.
