Commissioners having to defend their system to the media is the first step to creating change. An existing problem is now being acknowledged thanks to UCF's athletic department. A non-P5 undefeated season is a small problem to the P5. UCF is turning it into a big problem just by using twitter effectively.

Alabama claims a National Championship when it went 9-2 in 1941, finished second in the SEC and 20th in the AP Poll... because it finished No. 1 in the Houlgate System (whatever that is).

Other big boy programs do this as well when it suits them.

I am fully on board with UCF doing this when the Big Conference Cartel purposes sets it up to give schools like them no chance to ever prove themselves in a playoff system.

Geez. If UCF went and beat Alabama and THEN Georgia they would still complain that UCF never beat the SB Champsion NE Patriots.

Then after beating the Patriots they would complain that the Knights never beat the 85' Bears or the 72' Dolphins.

Then after beating those two teams they would STILL complain that the Knights never brokered world peace.

Then after unifying Korea and bringing joy to the world on all seven continents they would STILL complain that UCF didn't cure cancer.

Then after curing cancer they would STILL complain that UCF didn't bring gumdrop rivers filled with candy and rainbows and cute kittens to all of the world....

The Knights just need one of the many NCAA-recognized, yet publicly ignored rankings (page 108) to go rogue (one has UCF No. 1 before the title game) in order to authoritatively claim a piece, based on decades of precedent established by power-conference schools.

This has worked perfectly, the AAC and UCF getting tons of press, while NIT championship is on the back burner.

Both usf and Memphis were tougher than auburn.

Aww hell, I agree. If it was my team I'd do the same thing but at some point you just come off as a crybaby.

Biggest thing on UCF's side is 2 SEC teams in the mnc game. Everybody non sec can claim UCF. That's the angle id work
