Vegas determines the National Champion
Doug Kezarian (a vegas odds maker) stated on ESPN that UCF didn't deserve to be considered as the national champion because they would have been 17 point underdogs to Alabama, even though Auburn beat Alabama and Vegas is usually right. Except when they're wrong. 03-nutkick

Who cares, these are the same people that had both Baylor in 2013 and Auburn in 2017 as double digit favorites over UCF. They are chronically wrong about the UCF football team, besides point spreads change based upon the flow of money being bet to ensure that roughly the same amount is spent on both participants. These same talking asshats gave UCF no chance to win the AAC at the outset of the 2013 and 2017 seasons and no chance to beat Louisville, Baylor, usf or Auburn. UCF has been one of the best teams against the spread over the 2013 and 2017 seasons proving the odds makers wrong time after time after time.

Lines are not meant to predict winners, but to split the betting. It's a measure of public perception/misconception.

So, what this means is that Alabama fans are dumb... is this a revelation?

Vegas also said Baylor would beat UCF by 17 points.

Instead, UCF beat Baylor by nearly 17 points.

My point is that this is the best ESPN can do to undermine the claim that UCF is the National Champs. Pathetic.
