Time to guess the final AP rankings. Curious to see how high UCF can get. For reference, the final AP rankings in pre-bowl season:

UCF #10
Memphis #19
USF #23


There's actually a lot to think about with this. (1) How high will UCF rise? (2) Can Memphis squeak in at #25 considering the quality of losses? and (3) How high does USF rise with surrounding losses by LSU, Stanford, Memphis, Wazzou, and VaTech? I'll go with:

UCF #8 (total bull**** but don't see them putting us over the Playoff 4, Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin)
USF #20
Memphis #25 (debated going NR, but we'll see)

UCF 7
USF 23
Memphis 29

#8. It will be hard to jump any of the playoff teams, Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisky.

Hopefully we see a lot of #3's and a few #1's by some of the more rebellious voters.

UCF should jump to around #5 or 6. Several voters will probably rank them #2 or 3.

USF should finish around #20. at least 3 teams slightly ahead of USF lost.

Memphis should finish around #24. I don't think they will fall out.

UCF's ceiling is #5, reasonably.

No way CFP 4 are placed below us. I project 3 first place votes, with a few Top 5 votes from all the rebels. The rest will be votes hovering between 8-11.

12. no quality losses.

We lost to an unranked ISU team. Most people (commentators) all commented about how their losses were by 8 points total (or whatever it was), and that they beat Oklahoma and TCU, but still. They were unranked. I could see us dropping out and them putting ISU in at 24 for getting another top25 win.

If im guessing 5 to 7. Houston finished at #8 in 2015 after beating Florida St. Quite a jump from #18. UCF is jumping from 12 and is undefeated. I think they might just get to #5.

Guys, Memphis is not falling out. No. 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30 ALL LOST. They will go from 19 to 24. VT and WSU fall out, NC State and FAU jump in.

I'm going to say that UC will land somewhere between 15 and 20 in the polls. We haven't lost since November 18, and ton of teams at the bottom of the poll have lost multiple times since then.

I'm thinking this as well. I could see a lot of justification for UCF landing at #5, right behind the playoff 4.
