They plan on a banner as well. Will be interesting to see if all the chest thumping was worth it in 5 years. I happen to think it will at minimum pay off for the program.

It's already paid off amazingly in the form of free PR. Look how much press we're getting for free haha.

I was listening to Golic and Wingo this morning. Their opinion is that if they run the table again next year, they have to be in the conversation. Don't know how realistic it will be with an entire new coaching staff, but they do return a lot of people on the team next year. Also curious to see if MM makes a run at the heisman. He finished 8th this year.

I believe in the " in order to be the man you have to beat the man" rule. Well guess what, UCF beat the team that beat the teams in the championship game and went undefeated. Case close fellas, go have a blast at the parade and hang the biggest effing banner ever made. Congrats 04-cheers04-cheers04-cheers04-bow--- and any talk about strength of schedule is hogwash because you played the hand that you were dealt and hit a royal flush. YOU beat the crooked system and some "purist" feelings are hurt,,, SO EFFING WHAT

Well, first of all "beating the team that beat the teams" doesn't mean anything. As those teams weren't "the man" in the sense of beating the champion. Heck, Clemson was the champion and Syracuse beat them, but that didn't make Syracuse the champion.

Second, UCF isn't getting any share of any championship. So you can close your case all you want, but it will just be your opinion, i.e., meaningless.

1) Syracuse wasn't undefeated
2) Clemson didn't make the CCG therefore they were not the man 01-wingedeagle
Your apple to oranges response indicates that you are being either stupid or desperate in your AAC hatred. Anyway I'll take my own advice to UCF fans and tell you to EFF OFF 04-chairshot03-nutkick

On a side note, if I were in sports media I would be praying for Alabama to win. I wouldn't be able to vote for UCF fast enough. The only choices would be a 3rd place team that didn't even play in it's own CCG that most of the country has fatigue with vs the undefeated team that beat them and the team they played against with the one handed defensive player of the game and the up standing coach that stayed around to see it through. How many high volume clickable articles could I live off of for the next 9mo, or how much of a ratings boost could my radio/tv show garner for the next 9mo over covering spring practices the such.

But the CFP is just the opinion of a bought and paid for rigged committee. When you leave out the nations only undefeated team and they then prove themselves to be legitimate (as the dismissed top G5 has now in 4 of the last 5 NYD bowl games) you undermine the long term legeitimacy of the process. Im fine with a split champion. The selection committee has no one to blame but themselves--and honestly---the people who appointed the committee are really at fault. C'mon. All P5 representatives and no G5 representatives? Really? They thought that was reasonable, equitable, ethical, and fair?

Split National Championship. When you can show me where UCF lost a game I will conceded they have no leg to stand on. Until then--they have the most powerful claim of anyone. They never lost..not to mention in this case we have a common data point to use as a direct comparison. Your championship is based on ice skating judges who have been bought and paid for--serving on a committee that was so biased in its membership composition that they were afraid to even appoint a few G5 members that might consider another point of view.

If the media wants an 8 team playoff, voting for UCF would be the quickest way to get there. 04-cheers
