Remember when...
...we used to think "Well, football season is finally behind us, but at least we have some fun basketball to look forward to!"

Things change.

It’s been pretty much since Cal left. He was definitely bigger than our program.

I agree to a point, but I've always felt we can enjoy success at football while maintaining basketball...just gotta have the right coach in place.

It’s been pretty much since Cal left. He was definitely bigger than our program.

He left a national brand, though, that allowed Pastner to recruit at a very high level for a few years. After he squandered that advantage Calipari worked so hard to build, we’ve had problems even attracting local talent. Since Tubby apparently prefers golfing to recruiting, we’ve hit an all-time low, at least since the late 60’s. Not putting in the effort to get a good experienced coach after Calipari has taken us from a top 15 program to a sub-100 one. It will take a Kirk- or Calipari-type coach to breath life back into the program.

Luckily, all we need is one great coach/leader to resurrect the program.
