I don't know about a stretch as I think he will get every opportunity to keep his spot, but he will be challenged. He will have to get better. Sometimes he wasn't as physical as he needed to be. He also has to get better catching the football.

Spencer was a freshman all-american. I'll be pretty surprised if he isn't our starter. He has things he can improve on for sure and I think his carries should decrease next year with more options in the backfield.

Yeah, I have no idea what these people are smoking.

Brown was 25th in the nation in total rushing yards. Only two other freshman did better.

I remember when coach first got here and the seven O-linemen we had were all going to be backups because of the jucos we recruited. Then those seven guys took the majority of the reps. Imaginations tend to run wild on here. lol

Well did those juco OLineman make it?

Just cause he a freshman all American he should start, got it. Not earn his reps against better competition, two guys whom started off in P5 .

You've already made it clear on this board that your opinion is not one worth considering or even acknowledging.

I shouldn't have even taken then bait.

Spencer is a GREAT RB, and deserves a lot of carries. What some of us meant was, it would be nice if he didn't have to get hit quite as much. He was playing hurt the last 4 games. UA has 4 great RB's that rotate in and out & stay healthy. Getting Luscious Stanley back would help......he was breaking out, right before his season ending injury :(

Maryville is my alma mater’s main rival. A lot of guys I know from back there are saying we got a steal and were surprised he didn’t get offers from bigger schools. Here’s to hoping they’re right.

A girl visiting my kin in Memphis this past week is a Maryville grad and is now on athletic scholarship at Stetson in Florida. She knew Dylan and said he is a very good athlete, but indicated that UAB might find it challenging to keep him academically eligible. Of course, this is nothing new for many gifted athletes who get into college, but may explain why some D1 FBS schools did not pursue him.
