Yeah, even from some folks from Nashville. There was only really 1 hostile comment. As Austin and Nashville costs grow, Memphis can be an appealing market as an artist's base of operations, especially for touring artists.

The image and progress here is improving; hopefully we can inject more into that momentum, and support these transplants who are embracing us, as much as we embrace our natives. I see evidence of that in/with Tom Shadyac (I don't think he is a native, his father came here later, IIRC), he seems relatively embraced. So I think the main obstacle is informing the community they are here.
