Sheesh. CJ deserves an assist for that one.

Even had Fontana not gotten to that, there would have been a penalty called for sure. Good on the ref for playing advantage there. Here's to hoping we see plenty of highlights from CJ this year.

Great to hear...watched this one for a little while on "Twitter Sports" (whatever the hell that is). CJ (and Philly) have been in a bad scoring drought this season, hopefully this'll jump-start their offense

He scored the last goal of Philadelphia's 3-0 win hosting Chicago in the U.S. Open Cup Semifinals. Philadelphia will go to Houston for the Final on September 26. Philadelphia has never won a trophy or reached the final four of the playoffs.
His 55 regular season goals are the 48th most in MLS history.

Edit: The U.S. Open Cup winner gets one of the 16 spots in the 2019 Concacaf Champions League. The winner of that tournament goes to the 2019 Club World Cup (although the Club World Cup could be expanded or abolished) where they face champions of other continents and could play the UEFA (Europe) Champions League winner. If the Club World Cup keeps its format and the Concacaf club gets drawn in the half bracket with the UEFA champion, the U.S. Open Cup would have to advance 5 rounds (4 in Concacaf and 1 in the Club World Cup) to face the UEFA champion.

Just saw the highlight during halftime of the DCU-NYCFC match right now. Terrific clutch header by CJ. I never understood why his PT went down towards the end of last year in Philly. Glad he's with the Fire where he hopefully will stay on the field for the full 90 minutes week to week.

He still has a lot in the tank.
