RE: MBB: Toledo at Penn game thread
From what I've seen in the 4 games I've watched this year, this team has as good a chance as any to get a MAC championship. They seem solid at every position, the question remains like all of the other teams that have shown promise - can they play D effectively, not turn the ball over, and win on shooting threes. If they aren't hitting the threes, they have not shown they can execute an effective half court offense. Same as all of the other teams they give you hope, only to smash them as the season progresses.

The offense runs better when Fletcher isn't trying to do too much on his own. When he reverts to AAU style one on one offense the other players tend to stand around and wait for him to make his move.

The one on one stuff you usually end up with a contested shot. Rather see a pass or two to the open man or somebody cutting to the basket.

I don't know if you saw the Oakland game but that was best performance of the season, imo. playing a a solid team and we shot poorly but played good defense and ran good offense and won by double digits even though we shot like 20% from 3. when fletcher is forcing things and sanford is passive the offense deteriorates significantly.

I'm on board with all this, especially the bold.
