RE: Last 3 games UPDATED
UPDATED The Rest of the season
Final 2 games, 5-3 over last 8

Memphis (18-11, 9-7) now ranked #142 between Iona and Utah State. I would have hoped the last couple of weeks would have moved us up more, but we're up over 45 spots from our low around New Years.

Lest we forget, embattled year 2 coach Josh Pasnter at Georgia Tech (11-18), #119 with losses including Grambling@334, Wofford@174 & Wright State@179

321 USF
303 ECU

AAC teams current Ken Pom/standings

6 Cincinnati (1) 13-2, 25-4
17 WSU (2) 13-3, 23-5
22 Houston (3) 12-4,22-6
110 Tulsa (4) 10-6, 17-11
142 MEMPHIS (5) 9-7, 18-11
102 UCF (6) 8-8, 16-12
82 Temple (7) 8-8, 16-12
74 SMU (8) 6-10, 16-13
178 UCONN (9) 6-10, 13-16
163 Tulane (10) 5-11, 14-14
303 ECU (11) 4-12, 10-17
321 USF (12) 1-15, 8-21

Probably 20-11 heading into AAC Tournament. Almost hope Tulsa stays in fourth so we can pick up one more win against USF. Maybe get an upset in the second round, but that would probably have to come against Houston. Could happen.

21 wins puts us on the bubble for the NIT, I think 22 would get us a decent seed in NIT. The problem, except for our losses of course, is our schedule. The ECU game really hurts and along with losses to Tulsa, UCF and UAB and no good wins except Houston. Second best win is SMU@74 and falling, best OOC win is Northern Kentucky at #85.

The reason why our Kenpom numbers stink was illustrated last night...

We quit playing when we get up and of course all of those 1 possession wins early in the season against crap schools.

We have won 2 games by more that 12 points all year long...

Yet of all of our 11 losses only 2 have been less than 9 points

UPDATED The Rest of the season
Final game, Thank God, 5-4 over last 9

Memphis (18-12, 9-8) now ranked #166 between Troy and Tulane. That was very possibly the very worse loss at home in Tiger history. And definitely the worst team since the 1960s'.

Lest we forget, embattled year 2 coach Josh Pasnter at Georgia Tech (12-18), #117 with losses including Grambling@334, Wofford@174 & Wright State@179

We, on the other hans have lost to #296 USF at home and #307 ECU

AAC teams current Ken Pom/standings

4 Cincinnati (1) 15-2, 26-4
18 WSU (2) 14-3, 24-5
20 Houston (3) 13-4,23-6
106 Tulsa (4) 11-6, 18-11
166 MEMPHIS (5) 9-8, 18-12
100 UCF (6) 8-9, 17-12
83 Temple (7) 8-9, 16-13
80 SMU (8) 6-11, 16-14
173 UCONN (9) 7-10, 14-16
167 Tulane (10) 5-12, 14-15
307 ECU (11) 4-13, 10-18
296 USF (12) 2-15, 9-21

No post season again. Embarrassed at end of season again. This year even worse since we had just gotten a couple of the best wins we've had in a while.

Those who think this is a NCAA team next season are absolutely crazy. Unless, of course, Tubby did this on purpose and plans to win the tournament?!?!?!

There have been plenty right here say that this team will be the "Houston" of next season. They just need a little more time together and they'll be a NCAA tournament team. I don't know what team they are watching. Yes, we looked good against Houston. Most bad teams have a great game sooner or later. Like, uh, oh, I don't know, USF last night.

I still think the home loss to Oklahoma Christian College at the Mid-South Coliseum is the worst loss. I was there and it was stunning.

Hank McDowell and Dennis Isbel were the big men on that team. Don't recall the exact year.....79, 80, or 81 I think......

But that year we also beat Arkansas, Ole Miss and Cincinnati. And it was the second game Dana Kirk had ever coached here.

The CBU loss was worse - exhibition or not.

This loss was ONE OF the worst though. Even if missing our best guy. To get beat that badly on the home court by one of the worst D1 schools, riding the momentum that we were...no excuse.

Nah. This is worse. Even if you count CBU, like most losses against inferior teams, that was a close game against an inferior opponent that got away from us.

This was a wire to wire skull dragging by the worst team in a major conference, and one of the worst teams in the NCAA.

I'm open to there being a worse loss out there somewhere, but this is by far the single worst loss I can remember and I'm pretty confident it's probably the worst loss the Tigers have had at least in the modern era.

Embarrassing but it didn't count.

Counts as much as any during a non-postseason year. Counts as much as any games during a vacated season. What is it we always say? I was there and saw it with my own eyes so don't tell me it never happened?

USF, CBU - both inexplicable losses. Two of the worst home losses in Tigers history. All within the past 5 years.

Only the USF loss COUNTS as a loss.
