Trump's criticism of the FBI is reportedly damaging morale among agents in the bureau, current and former FBI officials told The New York Times.

The agency's new director is also reportedly under pressure to remove people whom he perceives as loyal to former Director James Comey.

Mr. Trump’s verbal assaults have put Mr. Wray and his leadership team in a difficult position. Mr. Wray is trying to move past his predecessor’s era and make sure there is not a whiff of politics at the F.B.I. He has promised the F.B.I.’s work would be based on the “facts, the law and the impartial pursuit of justice — period.”


Yet Mr. Trump and his allies in Congress are making that task much harder.

Current and former F.B.I. officials say Mr. Trump’s criticisms, and those of normally supportive Republican members of Congress, have damaged morale in some quarters of the bureau. Senior agents have expressed fear that if their names appear in the news media, they will be singled out for attack by politicians.

I'm sure Strojk's and Page's moral is at an alltime low. Strojk's wife probably isnt very happy at the moment either.

I am close friends with a recently retired FBI agent and based on our conversations, there is a great respect for President Trump among the rank and file agents. You leftists can rant all you want, but it was Eric Holder and Barry the FBI agents had a lack of respect for.

He demanded more than that. He demanded the DOJ and FBI act criminally in order to protect his legacy of crimes. And he was so incompetent that he wasnt even able to do that.

The upper levels of the FBI have unambiguously inserted themselves into the political process. The fact that they are stonewalling Congressional subpoenas doesnt help them.

Then go balls deep on the Steele **** and make sure Trump was made the subject of a FISA warrant based on that ****. And are stupid enough to talk about "insurance" at the fing office of the FBI and DOJ bigwigs.

There *is* a reason Strzok got canned. There *is* a reason Comey got canned. There *is* a reason McCabe is "retiring". There *is* a reason the General Counsel of the FBI was effectively "retired in place".

I guess Strzok didnt get canned. I guess Comey didnt get canned. I guess McCabe 'retiring' is just coincidence. I guess the FBI General Counsel being 'retired in a lateral move' is also just coincidence.

But bad form to call out the stories that seem to link all four of these people. And their spouses. Got it..... double bad for Trump to state the fact that the FBI went balls deep politically.
