I'll be shocked if Memphis doesn't win by 21 points.

Iowa State beat #2 Oklahoma and #13 TCU and came close to beating #17 OK State. They will be a huge test for Memphis. We'll have to score 50 plus to win IMO.

I think scoring 30+ should be enough for Memphis to win as long as their defense is decent. I've watched ISU several times this year and their offence has struggled in the 2nd half of the season against defenses that have a pulse.

Yeah I think it'll be a tough game even though we're slightly favored. But I think in the end our offense is just too good, plus you know Norvell has them pumped and ready.

The Liberty Bowl is a great bowl game. It is one of the BEST and most prestigious non-major bowls. IMO, it is much better than any of these other corporate assembly line named bowls.

Memphis is a great bowl game destination, and the Liberty Bowl is a hard sellout at 57K+. It will be a great atmosphere for a bowl game of any type.

I think it will be a close game. Iowa State has played everybody close, and as others posted, beat OU and TCU, when each was ranked in the top 5.

Their O isn't great, but neither is our D. Our O is great, but their D is top 5, iirc.

Should be a helluva game. In one ranking, it was listed as the 2nd best bowl matchup outside the CFP.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State aren't known for defense. They both rank below 70 nationally.

I hope Memphis remembers that Iowa State was against expansion and wins by 100.

A group of us are watching this game... Kind of funny though b/c 3 of us are Houston dudes, 2 Tulane dudes and 1 SMU dude.

Like I said, they struggle against defenses with a pulse. OSU doesn't have one and OU just barely does.

ISU's defense is solid so I doubt they'll get embarrassed, I just don't think they have the horses offensively.

UConn MBB? It depends on which group of Shockers show up, the ones that went to Waco and took Baylor's lunch money or the ones that gave up 50 in a half to Arky freaking State.

Good grief. There is no D in the AAC. Let's don't get ahead ourselves. Iowa state has a defense.

Iowa State finished 5-4 in the Big 12 and beat the top two. Not sure in what world that would be second worst...

If the B12 has 10 teams, 3 of which have better than 5-4 conference records and 4 of those 10 teams have 5-4 records in conference...well then, that would leave three other teams with records worse than 5-4 in conference. This means ISU would have no worse than 4th from the bottom conference record while having the same record as the 4th, 5th, and 6th best teams but losing the tie breaker.

They also have wins over the 1st and 2nd place teams in OK and TCU.

Hopefully Memphis can do to Iowa State what we did to them in the Liberty Bowl 5 years ago. Man that was a fun time!

This is why I was hoping we’d get Texas in this game. Would have loved nothing more than to hang 50 on them (sure you Coog wouldn’t mind seeing Herman get stomped too). F those high & mighty shorthorn a-holes. Never will forget their smugness at the sweet 16 back in 2008. They beat Stanford in the early game in Houston and 30,000 of them were all smiles. The looks on their faces watching Memphis dismantle Michigan State 50-20 in one half will never be forgotten. They knew what was in store for them on Sunday. Clowns
