It's one thing when another in state school like Appalachian State that has played football for a 100 years out recruits you in your home state, but an out of state ODU out recruiting you in your home state is inexcusable.

Charlotte we have a problem!

How many recruits did ODU and Charlotte even go head-to-head on?

Edit: I looked. Of the 5 signees ODU has from NC, only 2 of them had offers from Charlotte.

So, they took two from us. Thank goodness it was only two recruits we went head to head over. How many did we stop them from taking in OUR state? And which of the two teams signed the most in N.C.

If we are going to build our brand We must keep our in state players in our state.

How many players did Charlotte sign out of Virginia? Two. One problem we seem to face when recruiting kids in our backyard are the ones that want to get away.

Agreed, but it's worth pointing out that neither were offered by ODU.

Kids often want to go away from home. ODU has the same problem with recruits in our area. Lots of players just want to get away and experience something new. It sucks because we all want those guys to be the hometown heroes but it rarely works out that way. I wouldn’t put too much worry into it. The bigger problem is when we are both losing guys to App St.

Our fans howl when we lose a kid from Hattiesburg, or nearby. Some kids want to go away for college. Some kids want to stay near mama. Good recruiters can figure this out.
