Not just losing but completely outclassed. They should drop to IAA

The MAC should be re-named the CRAP.

The league is insane. Some weeks it seems like every team has played before Thursday.

Really, what's the point of staying FBS?

RE: The MAC in Bowl Games
Our conference probably shouldn't rag on anyone yet considering we have two bad bowl losses, but we (Tulsa) did almost beat the MAC champ, Toledo. They're just down this year.

Yes the CLAP, I mean MAC, crapped the bed at 1-4 this year. The American is 2-2 thus far so we need to finish strong or we're just flingin' poo against the wind.

Bowl games mean nothing. To many circumstances go into who ends up winning them.

Agreed. I would add that some coaches and players don’t see these bowl games as that big of a deal as we fans do. They aren’t keeping a conference scorecard like we fans do. Basically unless we are talking the CFP or one of the older high paying bowl game it is merely an exhibition game for some.

I like the MAC, in part because the conference is what most used to look like. It's geographically cohesive, most of the schools have similar profiles, it's relatively stable (compared to other P4s), and they simply crank out good coaching candidates.

They should be used to getting blasted in bowl games by now. Just for example:

2008 GMAC Bowl - Tulsa 63 Bowling Green 7
2009 GMAC Bowl - Tulsa 45 #22 Ball State 13
2016 Miami Bowl - Tulsa 55 Central Michigan 10

Feel free to join in if your team has had the joy of facing the MAC in a Bowl.

I like the MAC, but they really should, as a conference, drop their FB to FCS. The MAC would be a premiere conference at that level and would bring renewed vigor to FCS. Not to mention that their 20k stadiums would be just right for FCS games...

Fair point but that still shouldn't excuse Toledo to have their game decided by the 2nd quarter vs App State

Yep, especially when your conference loses several head coaches every year. The regular season win/loss versus other conferences is the best measuring stick.

It wouldn't surprise me if Memphis wins or loses by 20 points to Iowa State. It's been a month since our last game, and it's going to be cold which will impact the passing game.

I hear you, but in the case of many they are just happy to have the extra 15 practices they get for bowl prep and the extra publicity.

That bowl game in Mobile, Alabama. -When Marshall was part of the MAC. -When ECU was winning. Then- ECU was not winning. Nightmares.

Was the ECU victory formation against UCF worse? It is hard to tell.

04-cheers
