But they just gave up looking for jobs.
But that's not the REAL unemployment rate.
That number is fake.
Did I miss any of the excuses for reports like this during the last administration?
No but you missed all the times you would ignore those claims. With, you know, data that you would brush aside.
Now a full picture of this news:
I think the big gripe we all had was that the workforce participation rate dropped, and then was stagnant, under Obama. That's the measure of how many people "give up" and is a part of calculating the real employment rate.
Under President Obama, labor participation hit lows last seen in the late 1970s. Under one year of Tump the rate is over 63% for the first time since 2013.
the U-6 unemployment rate, which counts people as unemployed for a year after they give up their job search, rather than just 30 days,
and discounts the importance of part time jobs by counting people as unemployed who are working part time because they are unable to find full time jobs
That rate has dropped more than a percentage point since Trump was inaugurated and, this is the big one... It's now lower than it *EVER* was under Obama.
Finally since January, the number of people working full time has increased by two million while the number working part time increased by only 245,000.
So tom, what talking points or snide remarks do you have to counter this?
