Silver lining sponsored by Civility®: our heisman finalist, top 25 team kept it within a TD to Utah St.

Rod Carey’s record against winning teams?
2017 0-5
2016 1-5
2015 2-5 (started 2-2)
2014 3-3
2013 3-2

Started: 8-7
Since: 1-13

Rod Carey’s only scalp against a winning team in his last 14 tries?

Eastern Michigan

Seems we have a great recruiting class coming in - and 2 more years of Sutton - so a prime opportunity for our record against winning teams to closer reflect Carey first 2.5 years than last 2.5. Batting .500 against winning teams would be a notable achievement.

6-6 a winning team?
If we won then they would not be a winning team.

52-23, lost by 29;
55-7, lost by 48;
no bowl;
36-14, only lost by 22!

I'm seeing a trend, on the up swing!! Another few years and we'll win a bowl game, look at the big picture, long term view! :)

It really shows how brutal the MAC is that there are so few games against plus .500 teams.

For years now there has only been 1 decent team in the entire Eastern Division (Ohio) EMU is improving, CMU & WMU on a downslide.

Besides Akron and maybe Virginia is there a single bowl team you think NIU could beat?

Certainly UAB. Ohio destroyed them.

Except the Huskies were actually favored in that game.
