It was a good game but if you think you "had to beat the refs" you are delusional. ISU got far, FAR more impactful calls go their way. Tigers had their shot and your pass rush really got our offense but the calling certainly was not in our favor.

we did not get as many replays on the big screen. So did the interception look legit 1st half ? I could not hear why they called back the TD in first half , either ? we had nose bleeds and the speaker sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher.

Interception was not quite an interception, it was the correct call....
TD called back was because of illegal receiver downfield... i.e. Kuhn had moved out past 3 yards past the line of scrimmage. To add salt to the wound, he wasn't even blocking anyone, he was just standing there looking around for someone to block, so negated a TD.

I will say this.... the fumble was not a fumble. The lost TD was not as important as Iowa St getting robbed from having a season without a single fumble.

Other than that, the officiating was not an issue. They missed calls on both sides and made bad calls on both sides.

PULEEESE Officiating caused a 14 point swing in your favor. Do not know where you get your idea that you had to beat refs

About only call that went against you was the fumble and it was close. Too close for replay to overturn.

Had two picks in the end zone taken away due to officiating. One on replay and one on an outrageous roughing call.

You last TD came when the WR stepped out of bound AFTER the ball was already tipped and should have been an illegal touch.

I can tell you this, switch your tight end on the right side to DE next year. Believe he had more tackles than anyone on your defense.

Was a great game and sadly we made too many mental errors at key times. A half yard less down field by lineman and it would have been 14-7 and momentum would have been on our side.

The call on fumble was offset by the replay call on the pick in the end zone and the roughing call. Had two Ints taken off the board due to calls. And both led to ISU touchdowns.

With that said we hurt ourselves in key situations. OL just looking for someone to hit and ends up half a yard to far down field on a TD.

Score should have been 27-14 Tigers.

I understand, thanks. From section 117 it looked 55/45 a slight edge in favor of the Tigers IMO. Hard to tell because not everyone has cold weather Tiger gear, lots of camo, neutral colors. No doubt there were a ton of their fans.

Yeah,not sure what he means about the refs comment but they capitalized and we didn't.

They were not bigger stronger and faster. If so, it was barely.

We had at least four drives at their forty or better that resulted in no points. Play calling was odd once there. That is why they won. They were good enough to win, but we helped, a lot.

Game should have been 30-28 Memphis.

Would be little of this talking about offensive failures.

But, it is what it is. Missed FG, called back TD, called back interception that helped them get a TD, and their lost TD on bad fumble call. Decisions matter. Play calling didn't not help.

We will be fine next year. Any QB play at all and we will be a tough out. Defense will be better. Henderson will not be hurt, will still have Taylor and Pollard, plenty of reviewers etc....very few losses next year. Book it.

We were as good or better than ISU. P5 would not have mattered absent this crucial penalties. If wrong calls they were terrible. If good calls they were self inflicted. Bring it.
