Thats a good point. That’s for pointing that out. I didn’t know about the recent contract extension.
The buyout is 500k if he is signed by a MAC school before January 31, 2020. I’m not really in tune with NIU’s finances, anyone know if that too much to pay?
JMU was trying to get to the FBS at one point and I believe they were in consideration for MAC. I think they'd win quickly too. I don't believe we would offer too much of a raise to get someone like that to jump here when they are in a great position now.

Coordinators at P5 schools won’t take a paycut to coach at NIU.
Positions coaches though? Possibly.... here’s the best ones in the country... according to 247...

Brandon Streeter salary: 430k
Kasey Dunn salary: 360k
It would be nice to have a real offense again.
Did Lane Kiffin not take a paycut to coach at FAU when he was first hired? If he was Alabama's OC I would assume he was making over $1 million.
Yeah, looks like he did take a paycut.

Still pretty rare.
Did Doeren take a pay cut from Wisconsin DC to NIU HC?

Turn out was OK. But fans were totally lame. Not sure why'd you drive all the way to Detroit and then have no interest in cheering.

Yea, that was much quieter than the MACC games I went to there. Surprisingly subdued even early in the game.

I bought two tickets, took two days off of work, stayed at their hotel... not much to cheer for most of the game. Best part was going to see the Ford Museum the next day. Much better activity. Last bowl for me for a while...
