I have a pretty sizable group of JMU fans staying at the new Hotel Indigo in Frisco (by the Hyatt House / Hilton Garden Inn). We have a bunch of rooms booked for the whole weekend, but we have one room that is coming in Friday and checking out Sunday that is currently reserved for ONE KING BED because that was all that was available and we really need it to be for 2 QUEEN BEDS ideally. The hotel is unsurprisingly currently sold out of rooms with 2 Queen Beds for the weekend.
Is there anyone that is reading this that also has a reservation at the Indigo for the weekend and is booked in a room with 2 queens beds but really only needs 1 king bed? The hotel is capable of switching the rooms around if a willing Dukes fan agrees to do so.
I have an extra hotel room at the Extended Stay America Hotel in Plano pretty close to everything for $86/nt. Could transfer bf I cancel it. Its a suite, has two beds plus a sofa pull out and a tad more space than typical hotel rm. Perfect for 2-3 Dukes looking to crash cheaply for a couple days.

Go Dukes.
I recommend you embrace the closeness.

Hutchins BBQ in Frisco. You won’t be disappointed.
Went to Kenny's Smokehouse in Legacy Park Friday night then was essentially kidnapped by Dirty Dukes after the game on Saturday and taken to some other BBQ place that I assume is the one he mentioned above. Both were very good. All I remember from lunch with Dirty Dukes was that they had fried okra.

Several new restaurants and bars have opened in Plano/Frisco since Jan 2017's title game.
Check out "Legacy Hall", an upscale food hall in the European style (that is a good thing in this circumstance!!) at the new Legacy West shopping center. Southwest corner of Sam Rayburn Tollway/121 and Dallas North Tollway.
Three level food hall with, off the top of my head: burgers, beer, pretzel sliders, fruit pops, banh mi, beer, noodle bowls, quesadillas, Panini, charcuterie, beer, bratwurst, pizza, tacos, naan wraps, lobster rolls, beer.

Nope they are there.
Well, I hear the place is nice at least. We have 2 rooms there. Stayed in Plano last year. I was looking forward to being a little closer this year. Any other Dukes staying there?
I can hide behind doors, plants etc. and jump out and throw streamers at them. That could really rattle them before the game.

2am fire alarm Friday night or you are not a true fan.
Had several rooms at the Hilton last year. YSU was staying there (team, admin, donors). Had no idea until a buddy of mine who got there 1st called me. That Thur night it felt like the 3 of us were the only JMU fans there. But that Fri there were more JMU, but weee still way outnumbered felt like 10-1. I had to pick the only hotel in Frisco/Plano that the YSU fans outnumbered the JMU fans lol. Saw Bo Pelinni at the bar & lobby, rode the elevator with Jim Tressel & his wife. Was on one of the club floors. Had players on my floor. I remember people on here and elsewhere were jokingly suggesting similar early AM Fri night antics. My response was no, we‘re going to and fair and square.
Not sure how the hotels are booked. Maybe the NCAA reserves a block of x # of rooms at a couple of the nicer full service hotels in Frisco/Plano for each team a year in advance? These hotels typically have a couple hundred rooms and I imagine the teams/coaches/support staff are only taking something like a block of 50 or so (assuming the players double up)....
