Some folks don’t realize that it isn’t welfare if you actually made the money in the first place.

Welfare is taking money away from somebody else and giving it to you. Letting you keep more of what you make is not welfare.

Why is it greedy to want to keep more of what you earn, but not greedy to want to take for yours what somebody else earned?

Allowing companies to keep the money they earn isn't corporate welfare. If you are looking for corporate welfare you should Google Solyndra. THAT'S corporate welfare.

What do you expect? They probably think that people who paid in to social security for decades are on welfare when they cash their SS check.
