A lot of history there, sure, but otherwise not a great place to visit. I have been attending games there since the 60's, and do not care if I ever go back, except if my team is playing. I was referring more to Dallas itself - not a lot of people book vacations in Dallas. Most would rather see a tourist destination. New Orleans, Las vegas, Hawaii, anyplace with a beach, places like that. For me, if my team was in the HOD, I would go. One hour drive. Otherwise, Dallas is no attraction.

True, although I would consider Shreveport with its casinos a bit of an attraction. More than Dallas, anyway, unless you want to go to Six Flags.

The timing of the HOD stinks. The game is so early that if you aren’t with a 2 hour drive you have to stay in Dallas Christmas morning or take a VERY early flight and hope their are no delays.

No, UNT got embarrassed by a Sunbelt team. UAB got crushed by a MAC team both were not as good as their records indicated IMO. You can't base an opinion on record alone

First off, UNT got embarrassed by Troy!! They're good no matter which league they happen to be in. I think most sensible people could see that without having to go into detail, but since you labeled it "embarrassed by a Sunbelt team" in an attempt to strengthen your argument, I thought I'd correct you. So you can't really use that one to try and form an argument.
UAB was disappointing but it seems like ole Frank Solich and his Bobcats live for these games each year.
My point was the guy attempted to say schools he said should be in bowls shouldn't be, based upon his/her own argument. However, later tried to backtrack it, which is just nonsense.
True that you can't judge a team by record alone, but his point was that the top 4 should be the "ONLY" ones to make it, which was counter to his own statement, where he mentioned Marshall and La Tech. But I appreciate you dropping your opinion in anyways.

The top four teams in this bad conference are the only ones that deserve bowls. I can't be any clearer. Look at USM right now. That's one of our best four, and they're getting embarassed by a 6-6 ACC school. Not good at all.

The USM looked very respectable at the start of the game. Couldn't see the FSU side, but USM did well
