Relative to expectations at least. No one expected Akron to leave Boca with a win, not a ton of people predicted Toledo to lose let alone get ***** slapped like they did.

We have Rod Carey as our head coach still. Don't rely on NIU in bowl games with him at the helm.

Don't see gambles that big very often as most coaches err on the side of being conservative. Well at least I'll bet it caught Duke by surprise even it the play wasn't executed well.

This is a weird, weird game.

NIU looked completely over-matched early on, unable to even make a 1st down.

Then then discovered that Duke didn't know how to defend the forward pass and tied it up.

Then Duke moved down the field to score a TD, but missed the PAT.

Isn't NIU 8-4? The ESPN score graphic shows 7-5

We are, we have eight wins, they finally fixed the graphic in the 2nd qtr. Probably an overlooked game considering after the Utah game all they did was talk about other bowl games except the one on next.
