I know very little about BBall. What would it take to get UCF or another AAC team in the Top 25?

UCF needs to beat UConn and then Cincy to get votes, and after that unless they beat WSU at WSU, they don't have much to move the needle until they play at Cincy in February.

325 of the 350 NCAA Basketball schools to drop the sport.

Yeah cause You're gonna fly up the rankings because of a huge win vs UConn

Of course not.. but not winning at UCONN would certainly prevent you from getting ranked. And @UCONN is at least a "B" game

Win the next 7 and I guarantee you'll be ranked, 2 vs Cincy, 1 vs WSU

SMU losing to UNI and WKU + UCF losing to Mizzou + St. John's might have lost the conference a couple bids :/

Crazy to think how just a handful of games, decided by a handful of points can take the conference from 3 bids to 6 or more.

Perhaps, but still too early to tell. SMU's neutral court win against Arizona is going to carry a lot of weight in March and they are still well positioned for a bid.

UCF needs to get Taylor back (will there ever be an update beyond "day to day but not suited up for tonight's game"?) and to steal at least 1 win vs. WSU/UC and take care of biz against the bottom tier.

I think it's conceivable that WSU and UC are each in the Top 10 when the match up in February. UC has a slightly more difficult slate before then (games @UCF, @Houston, and @SMU), but those two games against each other in two weeks are going to be damn fun.

Yeah, WSU's back half, and especially last 5, are brutal. But exciting!!

So nice to be able to post a positive national accolade about the AAC without the WSU-stalking thread-shitter showing up 5 seconds later to vomit jealousy and annoy everyone.

And yet you couldn't just let people enjoy it without it being mentioned.

Most excited I have been for a conference game since we last played Creighton in the Valley.......feels like forever ago

Cincy is going to have to find some offense for that to happen. Right now it's WSU and everybody else vying for 3rd.

When games get close the Shockers can ratchet up the defense with various full-court pressure schemes; Cincy on the other hand cannot simply ratchet up its offense. "Winning with defense" is great until you meet a team that plays great defense AND is extremely efficient offensively.

I see Cincy dropping some games real soon due to inconsistent play. I hope that isn't the case but they've shown all year that they can be fairly impotent at times against marginal teams.
