I just think it might take a quarter to shake off some rust. If not, we are in the forties again.

Fascinating.
I hope they overlook our running game, as this analyst seems to have done.
And the more they score, the more chances for pollard to take a kickoff to the house.

RE: ISU analysis of Memphis Offense
To summarize:

90% of memphis plays have an option that can score... Memphis attacks every part of the field and every defensive player on every play.

They hope to slow us down by using a bend but don't break strategy.

If an opponent has a defensive players who see's his job as one dimensional (ie just a pass stopper) then he will get scored on often. If an opponent has a defensive player who likes to take risks and leave his job for a big hit; he will get scored on only half the time. If you have a defensive player who plays a selfless team game and does his job, he will get scored on too.

If you are an Iowan defensive player contemplating an NFL career, a game against Memphis is not a game you want to be in, you aren't going to have much tape to show the recruiters... I'd recommend all Iowan NFL hopefuls just sitting this one out.

Yes, no mention at all of Henderson who is averaging almost 9 yards a carry.

According to the writer, Iowa State uses a 3-5-3 scheme which puts 8 men in the box. He is anticipating that will be sufficient to shut down the Tiger run attack. Plus, he indicated that Oklahoma and Oklahoma State run similar offenses. It should be noted that they went 1 - 1 in those matchups, beating Oklahoma 38 - 31 and losing to Oklahoma State 49 - 42. They also beat TCU 14 - 7.

I think that he is counting on Iowa State's defensive line to control the line of scrimmage with whatever wrinkles they throw in. It should be an interesting offensive-defensive game of chess.

Hopefully, the Tiger defensive continues to progress and shows more discipline in its pass coverage assignments. Iowa State has put up over 30 points on most of its opponents. Exceptions were Texas (17 - 7 Loss), West Virginia (20 - 16 Loss), Kansas State (20 - 19 Loss), Baylor (23 - 13 Win), and of course TCU. Consequently, it will be very important for the defensive to be disciplined and not give them too many opportunities.

Hopefully, the offense will keep its "CAN-DO" attitude and get it done for victory number "11" of the season ... 04-cheers"

Turnovers will be key especially with it being cold on Saturday. If we hold on to the ball and Ferguson is able to shake off rust quickly then we have a very good chance of winning.

Iowa State hasn't lost a fumble all season.

(and I say that with full intention of a jinx)

Incredible streak they have going. Not a fumble lost all year.
