Murray State is 8-3 built on a tomato can schedule. They do this every year and point at their shiny record and say “we good!!!” They’re not, lol.

The fact Middle won AT Murray does speak volumes as you will be getting cornholed the second the game starts down there.

Yeah, almost as bad as the cornhole-ing we got in Hawaii against USC and Miami.

Can you explain these ratings to me? I looked and a few teams were not the same numbers. Marshall specifically was around 150, not in the 300s. Just wondering.

These rankings are based on the difficulty of each team's OOC schedule. For example, Middle Tennessee has the hardest schedule while Marshall has one of the easier ones. This has nothing to do with performance. The number you're referring to is Marshall's performance ranking. They are currently ranked #161.

Again, I thought we were grading performance, not schedule.

Yeah, I think the OP was referring to performance, but the title of the post was taken as SoS by some others.

Marshall, UAB, and La Tech should be ashamed of playing such weak schedules.

As a UAB fan, I’m ashamed and embarrassed by our OOC schedule. It’s pathetic! But now we start conference play.

I believe you have to consider strength of schedule when evaluating the performance. I just posted the OOC strength of schedules to assist in the evaluations.

The UNT schedule is a middle of the road schedule, but after 5 terrible years of Tony Benford (who never won more then 8 games in any of those seasons), I am very happy with the 7-6 record we have amassed against this middle of the road schedule. Things are looking up.

UAB’s best wins were over Memphis (163) and at Troy (172). At the same time, UAB only lost at Auburn (39) by 5 points.

Of UAB’s four losses, the Richmond (232) loss really stands out.

Factoring in UAB’s terrible strength of schedule, I give UAB (9-4, 120) a “C” in performance during the OOC schedule. Even though UAB played many poor teams, UAB typically dominated those teams.

I'd give Florida Atlantic a solid C only for the fact that we lost to South Florida and Arkansas State by 1 point. We should've won both of those games and should be 8-4 instead of 6-6. Hopefully, we'll do better in conference play.
