Who is our Frank Solich, When can we find our Bobby Petrino, where can we find our Terry Bowden? You know, a winning coach that made a dumb mistake and is or was begging for a second chance more than all the money in Ft Knox.

A coach that is a proven winner that knows the next mistake is his last. A coach who has successful SEC heading coaching experience, Why not reach out to Hugh Freeze and send a message to the Carolina(s) and CUSA and let them know we are serious about college football.

Frank Solich and Terry Bowden do not deserve to be included with scum like Petrino.

Frank Solich is really not a "nasty" guy...

You want former "Big" college names?
-Bo Pelini (former Nebraska HC, current HC, Youngstown St)
-Greg Schiano (former Rutgers and Tampa Bay Bucs HC, current DC, Ohio State)
-Tom Bradley (former DC, Penn State, current ?)
-Jim Leavitt (former HC, South Florida)
-Todd Graham (former HC, Arizona State, Pittsburgh)

But they all have baggage.

Some of those guys are making large bank as assistants. Leavitt makes more now than when he was HC at USF. Joker Phillips is a guy who never rebounded from getting booted at UK. He's only making about $250,000 these days after making $1.7MM as UK HC.

Leavitt made more at USF than he is making now.

http://www.espn.com/college-football/new...id=4807719

Leavitt, who was 95-57 at USF, just completed the second season of a seven-year, $12.6 million contract.

If Mangino looked like Lane Kiffin, he would have gotten another chance, but weight probably played a role in him not getting another chance, although no one would ever admit to that.

If you truly want to win, there is a coach named Art Briles.

Please take him. He has completely destroyed my falcons. The offense has been borderline cruel this year. Yes please take him.

If only we had a head coach opening.....what we really need is a new AD. #FireJudyRose I do find some of these coaching names interesting.

Youngstown State OC Shane Montgomery will be Charlotte's new OC. He was previously the HC at Miami (OH).

This is a joke of hire but was completely expected.

Yeah, I'm disappointed by this hire as well. But like you said, it was completely expected.

Probably about as good as we were going to do given our head coaches lame duck status. #FireJudyRose

I don't think many coaches are going to be attracted to a small start-up program like Charlotte's. There's no football tradition and the prospects of success are dim. The candidate pool couldn't have been very large. It's going to be very tough to win games.

Charlotte could be a very attractive gig for many but we have to remove the current leadership.

What a pile of crap. Charlotte has as much or more potential than any school in CUSA.

I believe it, however while our current leadership is in place all of that is on hold.

Good news is they are not getting any younger so we will more than likely just have to wait them out.

What's the problem with the athletics admin? Are coaching salaries too low? Bad hiring?
