Looking forward to conference play. I will find some solace in our conference losses knowing that it helps the conference send more teams dancing

Touting .. no.. but that's what the official record shows and what the committee will see.

To be clear .. we should have won by 30 and have a lot of work to do.

What I can’t get past is the d-wad who came on here claiming WSU second five could win the AAC. I almost want to go back and find who that was because you deserved zero credibility.

I have said the second five would place in the top half. And I still believe that to be true.

I don't even know who our second 5 is at this point. I'm not sure the constant changing of lineups isn't part of why we haven't looked great.

We played 12 tonight

Are you kidding me?? Let’s assume Cincy, SMU, Houston, WSU and USF are the top 5. You think WSU’s second team would be better than Temple, UConn and Memphis? Dear lord, man. What world do you live in, because it isn’t reality.

I don't think either of you are in reality. WSUs second 5 wouldn't finish top 5 ... And WSU won't finish forth like you think

Maybe you’re watching different WSU games than I am. No way you’re better than Cincy. I don’t think you’re better than us. Houston is a toss up, and I think UCF and Temple can beat you.

You mean Cincy that struggled up until 5 or 10 min left with Cleveland State?

Every team has struggled with inferior competition so far. WSU has the top 1 or 2 resume so far. By far a tougher SOS than what Cincy played

UCF is projected 6th right now so I’ll go with them.

Terrell Allen vs SHJ
Cesar DeJesus vs Austin Reaves
Dayon Griffin vs Zach Brown
AJ Davis Vs Darral Willis
Tacko Fall vs Rauno Nurger

If you can’t admit that that is at the very least debatable, then you are the one in a different reality. I would buy UCF winning the matchup, but I simply refuse to believe that WSU is completely outclassed with that 5.

UCF will likely have BJ Taylor back by the time you play. He would/will destroy everyone you just listed.

When healthy, BJ Taylor might be the best player in our conference. So your best five barely beat FGCU and Arkansas St at home, and we are supposed to believe your second five can beat the team with arguably the best player in the conference and a team that made the NIT final last year. That sounds like reality.

RE: 12/22 AAC Basketball Games
WSU is an enigma right now. They're turning the ball over at an alarming rate. A lot of low-IQ ball going on. FGCU also hung around on the boards and got a ton of second chance points. Another Marshall unheard-of.

That's 4 straight home games where WSU just looked lost and bad. I can justify OU but struggling with SDSU, Arkansas State, and Florida Gulf Coast is just plain weird. I thought they were gonna finally put a team away in the first half but alas, turnovers and rebounds kept that from happening.

WSU is playing like a mid-pack AAC team right now. They are not a Top 25 team. I still have hope that they'll figure this out as they have road wins at Baylor and Oklahoma State in their back pocket.

But I'm now really, really nervous for next Saturday. It was already gonna be a big game no matter what, but the fact that WSU has been somewhat exposed is what really could make things interesting against the Huskies.

They're gonna need a 180 that we haven't seen in a month for us to win.

But we did win so Christmas is saved.
Whew.

Considering 2/5 of our second 5 (+ Landry Shamet) were responsible for beating FGCU, yes, that’s reality. When a member of your second five goes off for 15 pts, 13 boards, it’s reality. I know when you’re used to a team that goes 6 deep, it’s super hard to comprehend that a D1 team can go 10 deep, but trust me, it’s possible.

SHJ plays 33% of the minutes. That’s the lowest of the second five. And that’s counting the fact that he missed a game and barely played in another due to sickness. Next lowest is 44%. In case you haven’t noticed, we haven’t exactly been blowing people out so these numbers aren’t skewed by garbage time. They are a bit skewed with McDuffie but I suspect our current starters that McDuffie will replace end up around 40%.

I’m not saying our walk-ons would compete in the AAC. I’m saying that players that play 45% of the minutes for the #11 team in the country would compete in the AAC.

That’s the response I expected. I go to the effort to find numbers to back up my unrealistic claims and I get hit with “lolno” or “eye test.” Wichita State fans are more than used to this over the last 5 years.
