But I had no idea how disinterested Toledo was in playing physical, when they got punched in the mouth on both lines they never got off the mat.

About the same comments I made about our Toledo team after the loss to Ohio U. Same performance in that game, but we at least scored 10 points - and gave up 38 (or something like that). Both lines were manhandled in that game as well. I don't get it. We had a MAC championship team, but generally speaking - championship teams don't get beat up like this in 2 games against essentially equal caliber football teams. I could understand it if it was against top 10 teams in the nation. Baffling. We have to learn to compete in every game, and if the starters aren't doing it - it's time to get the reserves in to show what they can do and maybe takeover that starting job.

Top 3 OG's out. A single back up that covered both OT positions. 2 of 3 DE's out and lose the 3rd for the first half of the Bowl game. Lost Cody, etc.,this was a weakened Rocket team. Much worse shape injury wise than the 2015 team that won the Boca Raton Bowl.

YET UT was predicted to win handily? Any more cliche excuses? App fans were as surprised as you....Just stop with the excuses.

Also we are still waiting for UofToledoFans 01-donnankungfu to drop back in on our board for some more undeniable statistics on how UT will destroy App.

No excuses for UofToledoFans, he needs to put on his big boy pants and own any trash he put out there. Then there is the reality that App State was pretty banged up earlier in the season and was in better shape going into the Bowl game than they had been. Toledo's season ending injuries had a lot to do with their Bowl performance. Not the same team they were going into the Miami game.

The reason we lost to App st is we were not as tough, mentally and physically.
Coaches didn't have the players calloused up, they bruised too easy vs APP st. Next couple pays will be hard to cash for CC.... the APP loss will make him better.

10 years helping to rebuild a FB program that was in dumpster...
I don't think I'd have problem cashing those checks. On the hand personally, I hate to lose, do not make the same mistake twice. Moving on to Winter Conditioning and Spring Practice. Have to get a few more pieces of the puzzle before Feb 7th.

AMEN...the minute you celebrate too long or gloat too long your program gets stale. Have to grind!!! New day, new season. Next season is made between now and the end of July.
