Plus, SMU's schedule was back loaded this year. They didn't play the toughest part of their schedule until the end.

The tarps were covering parts of the stadium under construction and had zero to do with ticket sales

You can’t. It was hella good in the mid to late seventies and early eighties. Full Cotton Bowl, full Texas Stadium, full pockets. Great time to be there. So kiss my wrinkled ass.

Reality: SMU has struggled for most of the last 30 years in football. However, SMU has the most tradition of any program in the American. SMU has won 3 national championships, a Heisman, 5 NFL HOFers, 8 College HOFers.

SMU needs to start cheating again and quick.

Take it easy on those pony's now, that coaching turmoil is a tough situation to win a bowl game under. Anyway, it's not like they were picked to win the conference and then proceeded to "Coog It".
