Liberty Bowl Tickets
Bowl Office only gave us 1,000 chairback seats and almost none in 120 (between the 40’s).

You don't need chair backs. You should be standing the whole game anyway.

True, but standing for a whole football game is a tough one. Especially with some of our fans...

I think you’re mistaken. I haven’t heard or read from anyone expecting chair backs. We have chair backs in season and haven’t expected chair backs for the bowl game.

RE: Liberty Bowl Tickets
Dear Tiger Fan:

Thank you for being part of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl and purchasing tickets to watch our Tigers take on Iowa State. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to play right here in Memphis with the chance to make program history.

Later today (Thursday), you will be receiving an email with your digital tickets, as well as instructions for printing them at home. There are no physical tickets.

Please note that while the game is at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, this is NOT a home game for us. The UofM Athletic Department does not manage parking, ticketing, concessions, in-game elements or tailgating. This is just like any other road game or bowl game, in that the UofM is simply a participant in the game.

As such, please be aware that the UofM Athletic Department does not manage the location of the ticket allotment received from the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. The UofM Athletic Department has allocated seats as we do for all postseason tickets, using Tiger Scholarship Fund giving level and priority points. A vast majority of the tickets for our fans are located in rows 50 and higher. If you have any questions relative to the allocation of tickets provided by the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, please feel free to contact them at their offices.

Thank you again for your wonderful support, and we hope you enjoy this unprecedented opportunity to see your Tigers compete in the postseason right here in Memphis. We look forward to seeing you on Dec. 30. Go Tigers Go!

NOTE: The tickets will come from the email address tigertickets@memphis.edu, so be sure to add this contact to your list of contacts.

Bottom line.....if you want decent seats for future bowls and are willing to pay for them, buy directly from the respective Bowl games.

It is what it is.

RE: Liberty Bowl Tickets
Bottom line--25,000 seats were already reserved for the LB way before the participants were decided.

Logic follows that when only 15k tickets are available to a program that has about 20K in season ticket holders that everyone isn't going to get what they want.

RE: Liberty Bowl Tickets
Had I realized this before they sold me the tickets, I likely would have just ordered from the Liberty Bowl. Oh well, I'll enjoy the game WHEREVER I sit as long as we show up.
